The Challenge:

To redesign ARS, Allstate’s Roadside Services mobile application, with a modern aesthetic. We also needed to slim down the process for users with fewer screens and clicks.

I needed to:

• Learn best practices for IOS and Android
• Empathize for the situation the user is in
• Remove friction from gettin help on the road
• Update the look and feel

Approach

The assignment for visual design was to help the user feel at ease during a stressful situation, while allowing them to achieve their tasks in an engaging manor.

I needed to:

• Collaborate with other native mobile designers
• Help the UX team gel
• Create better processes for working together
• Work closely with developers
• Iterate and re-design as needed, through research and customer insights

Being recognized by industry-leading publications proves that we’re on the right track to positioning ourselves as a technology company among the developer community.
